In 2015 a decision was made to develop the wine tour side of the family business. This would give our guests an exciting and unique new experience, an insiders account of the everyday running of a busy, modern winery. As part of a daily tour, our expert multilingual guides accompany visitors on a tour of the vineyards and through the cellars, where the vinification process is explained from the pressing of the grapes to the bottling process. At the end of the tour, the wine tasting is accompanied by typical products of the region such as salami, pecorino cheese, pasta and of course, the tuscan unsalted bread, which enhances the taste of the food.

The family olive press or frantoio, is also located on the winery estate. Here, the extra virgin olive oil is extracted “a Freddo”, using a cold press. Specific tours of the olive press can be arranged, during which the technique of olive oil production is explained.

During October and November the oil mill is in (its) full activity... we can therefore attend the entrance of the olives into the mill until the exit of the extra virgin olive oil: an ancient and fascinating process that, since immemorial time, offers a very good and important food to our tables
